Children's Sabbath School
The Glendora SDA Church offers quality classes for young children ages 2-12. Marylou and Marcie Nelson conduct the children's sabbath school by providing fun and interactive activities for the children to participate in. Along with singing songs and listening to mission stories, children learn about the Bible by memorizing verses and reciting them in every class.
Teens and Young Adults
Teens and young adults who are in college or are college-bound attend the Collegiate sabbath school class. Facilitated by Van Perkins, the class utilizes the Bible in conjunction with a weekly lesson out of the CQ (College Quarterly), a devotional Bible-study guide. The class addresses topics that pertain to the students' experiences and lives. On many occasions, Van will tailor the class to whatever the students feel like discussing or learning about by approaching every subject from a biblical standpoint. Van calls himself a facilitator rather than a teacher, which means he assits and guides the students on their own quests to learn about the Bible. Van Perkins is also the Executive Sabbath School Superintendent.
Adults
The adult Sabbath School takes place in the main sanctuary and is conducted by members of the Sabbath School Counsel on a rotating schedule. Twice a month Pastor Stelian also teaches the lesson. The objective of the adult Sabbath School class is to create an atmosphere where questions are always welcome and class members can actively participate by taking quizzes and providing special insights regarding their understanding of the Bible.
